Is There a Top 10 App That Doesn’t Track You?

By Top Tens

The short answer

Yes. Top Tens does not use your data for advertising profiling, and it does not sell your personal information. That is stated plainly in its privacy policy — not buried in legalese, and not contradicted three pages later. If you are tired of free apps that pay for themselves with your behavior, this is the difference that matters.

What “doesn’t track you” actually means here

Honesty first: no app that stores your lists online collects literally nothing. Top Tens collects what it needs to run the service, and the policy lists it:

What it does not do with any of that is the point: no advertising profiling, no selling your personal information, no sharing your data with advertisers, and no marketing emails. The only emails Top Tens sends are login codes and account notifications.

Who else touches your data?

A handful of providers run the service behind the scenes — Cloudflare (hosting and security), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Square (subscription billing), and Amazon (some item reference links are affiliate links, which may earn Top Tens a commission if you buy). They process data only as necessary to provide their services, under their own policies. Your lists are isolated by Supabase Row Level Security, so one user’s data stays theirs.

Can you delete it all?

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data from the in-app or website account settings where available, or by emailing yourtoptens@aol.com. When you delete your account, your email, lists, and associated content are deleted within a reasonable period, except where the law requires records to be kept (for example, subscription records for billing and tax).

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to make an account at all?
No — you can browse the pre-seeded stock vault without one, in which case only technical logs and cookies apply. An account is only needed to create and keep your own vault.

Are there ads in the app?
Top Tens’ policy is about data, not ad inventory: it does not profile you for advertising and does not sell your information. It sends no marketing emails. That is the tracking question — and the answer is no.

Is this just a promise, or is it written down?
Written down, in the Top Tens Privacy Policy (last updated October 8, 2026), sections 2 and 4. If the policy ever changes, the “last updated” date changes with it.

The bottom line

Your taste is yours. A list of your ten favorite films says something real about you — and it shouldn’t be packaged up and sold to whoever will pay for it. Top Tens keeps it simple: your lists are stored so the app works, and never sold so someone else profits.
